PRISM ATEMPORAL - SALLE DES GARDES DU PALAIS DE COMPIÈGNE Lorsque Stephan Breuer a découvert le Palais Imperial de Compiègne, il a été ébloui par la pureté de sa blancheur immaculée, par sa simplicité et par son minimalisme. Il y a immédiatement vu un canevas blanc des plus somptueux pour y installer une œuvre de lumière qui fasse écho à sa dualité impériale et royale ainsi qu'à l’absolue perfection de son architecture. PRISM ATEMPORAL est une sculpture projetée à travers l'espace dont le cycle perpétuel fait apparaitre une double trinité monochrome blanche et or. La couleur blanche symbolisant la réalité immatérielle et l’or la réalité matérielle. La sculpture qui évolue à travers chacune de ses deux réalités, passe par trois niveaux d'absolus, avant d'atteindre un état d'union, de partage et d'équilibre parfait. Pour ressentir pleinement cette oeuvre immatérielle, il faut la pénétrer comme l’on pénètre en soi pour initier un voyage, à travers le prisme de notre propre perception, vers cet état particulier de lévitation atemporelle où le temps n’a plus d’emprise sur nous. C’est seulement en traversant les faisceaux de lumière de ce prisme perceptif qui nous structure, que nous pourrons déterminer dans quelle réalité nous sommes immergés. Le cycle continu de l'oeuvre alternant entre réalité matérielle et immatérielle nous rappelle d'ailleurs que tout est intimement lié et toujours en mouvement, mais d’une façon plus essentielle nous questionne sur la dualité de notre propre nature, celle de notre volonté de donner et de notre désir de recevoir. Cette oeuvre est finalement une intense méditation sur l’altruisme. Valeur absolue et fondamentale du futur mais également sens ultime de notre évolution, il nous faut réussir enfin à équilibrer le cycle de ces deux forces antagonistes qui nous animent. PRISM ATEMPORAL rayonnera au sein de la majestueuse Salle des Gardes du Palais Impérial de Compiègne. Ce lieu pur où les contraires sont un, accueille la rencontre du futur et de l’Histoire pour ainsi faire l’expérience d’un moment d'éternité. ______________________ PRISM ATEMPORAL is a monumental immaterial light scupture that is projected in the space of the magnificent Salle des Gardes of the Imperial Palace of Compiegne. Fascinated by the immaculate whiteness and the minimal architecture of the Palace, the artist Stephan Breuer has created an installation that would resonate with its Imperial and Royal duality. The perpetual cycle of the two monochrome colors, white and gold, represents the links between both side of each reality, the immaterial reality (white) and the material reality (gold). The sculpture evolves in time through three states of absolute before reaching a state of perfection where both colours finally merges together. At the end of the cycle the sculpture slowly changes volume by contracting itself towards the most minimal state. Prism Atemporal becomes a simple and pure vertical line of light. This final state express the will to always rationalise thoughts and concepts as much as possible. After this state of contraction the sculpture finds it's original monumental volume and the cycle starts again. This whole evolution is perpetual. To fully feel this piece we must penetrate it and initiate a voyage through the prism of our own perception towards this state of levitation where time finally disapears. This piece is an intense meditation on the origin of the universe as well as on the nature of the creative process itself. It is also a reflection on our desire to receive and our will to give. In the end the sense of this absolute future is altruism as we need to find the right balance and equilibium between these two antagonist forces who structure every human relationships. In the Palais de Compiegne, History and absolute future meets, to finally experience a pure moment of eternity.
